Don't worry about anything, we've got the bikes and all the PPE gear, so all you've got to do is give us a shout. Motorcycle IBT, which stands for Motorcycle Initial Basic Training, is a mandatory program introduced by the Road Safety Authority (RSA). It's purpose is to ensure beginner motorcyclists acquire basic riding skills and knowledge to drive a motorbike safely. Our top-tier IBT training centre is based in Kinnegad - our experience and knowledge, matched with a large training area is your best choice to start your biking career.

IBT Motorbike Training has 5 different training modules available (you don't have to do all of them!) - they are a combination of education in a classroom environment and practical experience on a closed RSA approved training grounds. Your Instructor will be the best person to advise on what modules you should or need to take.
The licence category you wish to qualify for will dictate which modules you must complete, have look below.
Category AM & A1 - Modules 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Category A2 & A - Modules 1, 3 & 5.

Only a RSA Approved Initial Basic Training (IBT) Instructor can instruct the IBT syllabus. It can only take place on a RSA approved training centre. We carry out our training in Kinnegad, its a top-class spacious training grounds.

The IBT enables beginners to develop a solid foundation of essential driving knowledge and skills. Experienced ADI's are equipped with comprehensive lesson plans and expertise to teach learners about road regulations, traffic signs, driving techniques, and vehicle operation.
Its simply the foundation level of training that will be used for the rest of your motorbiking career so it's important to get it right!
